Over the Wall: Printmaking Exhibition puts printmaking in the spotlight, showcasing the charm that layers of technique bring to the texture of papers. Although often considered a niche medium, printed arts often evoke an exceptional and intimate emotion in those looking.
Over the Wall exhibits Black Hand Gang’s resident artists: Agus Suwage, Degeha, Eddie Hara, Kemalezedine, Mella Jaarsma, Sir Dandy, and Social Note: Black Hand Gang x Uji Hahan x Uma Gumma. It explores walls where artworks are usually displayed, understanding that art, in any size or medium, has an immense ability to dominate a space. As artists from different disciplinary backgrounds collaborate, Over the Wall also climbs over the boundaries of printmaking as the walls between techniques and conventions are blurred.
